Week Notes:  This is probably deserving of an entire blog post, but this will suffice for now.  On Tuesday I crashed my mountain bike.  Hard.  It was a silly crash where I hooked my handlebar on a tree and was catapulted down a small ravine.  As I lay on the ground, I was certain that I had done serious damage to my body, but surprising, everything was intact.  My body was mostly covered by arm coolers and long socks which helped prevent cuts.  Nothing was broken and I was able to get back on my bike and finish my ride.  By the end of the following day, muscle soreness set in and I was moving about slowly.  I took it easy Wednesday and Thursday icing sore muscles, taking Epson Salt baths, and stretching.  By Friday I was feeling 90% and ready to ride my bike and run!  While I don't advocate dangerous activities while undergoing chemo, and I try to be quite careful on my bike, my body once again happily surprised me with its resiliency.  Despite undergoing chemo, my body seemed to heal at a similar rate to my non-chemo body.  I am not sure if nutrition, supplements, acupuncture, or a combination of all is helping support my body, but I plan to keep on keeping on!  Back in the infusion room tomorrow.

Notes:  Although my exercise hours are less than week two of infusion one, I feel that I had a solid week of maintaining fitness.  Overall, I felt good.  I was a bit concerned about my energy levels with returning to work AND attending the Autism conference this week, however I was able to balance work, rest, exercise, and even a little bit of non-work/non-bike socialization without over-exerting myself!  This week it was all about conserving energy and prioritizing to do the things that were important to me.
